How are you all? Sorry I am a day late. It has been snowy and Icy… and well… we have been distracted by snow days.
I offer you up a Spring Song by Mendelssohn to help you think about sunnier, warmer days ahead….
What composers have songs that make you think of spring?

Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony was the first “spring-theme” piece that came to mind, but there are many others.
We really enjoyed Chopin’s music this week!

Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos have a springy feel to me as well~
(Although I often listen to them on a wintry Saturday~

I have a few favourites, one of which includes Holst’s “St Paul’s Suite” (4th mvt: ‘The Dargason’) It’s a lot of fun to play for youngsters, spinning / skipping together, with reminders of “Greensleeves” playing in and out. It just takes me back to a scene in a meadow where children are playing and make daisy chains during a family picnic.
